The high street store is running an offer where you can pick up a small jar of any scent of Yankee candle they’ve got in stock for just 1p when purchasing a large jar. Alamy Stock Photo The amazing deal was brought to the nation’s attention in the ever-popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook page, which has more than a million members. ‘This bargain is in Clintons if you buy a big Yankee candle you will get one 1p this is in Wolverhampton Dudley Street,’ wrote Amy Highfield as she shared her discovery with the other bargain hunters in the group. Now on its own Facebook page, Clintons has confirmed the deal is nationwide: purchase any large, full price jar and you’ll get a small jar for 1p. While the large candles aren’t cheap in and of themselves, retailing for £23.99, the smaller jars are worth £8.99, so if you’re a dedicated Yankee fan or you were planning to make a purchase (either as a self-gift or for a friend or family member), the chance to pay just a penny for an extra one is undoubtedly a great deal. ‘Omg go buy me all the candles,’ one excited shopper wrote to a friend on the post, while another pointed out the excellent potential for stocking up in advance on Christmas presents – the smaller jar would make a great stocking stuffer for the Yankee lover in your life. The only restrictions on the deal are that it can’t be used in conjunction with any other offers, and it’s subject to availability, which we expect will dwindle fast. As it’s only in stores and not on the Clintons website, it’s advisable to head to your local branch pronto, lest you miss out on a beautifully scented steal.
