The purse-friendly supermarket’s new range of retro appliances is arriving this Sunday, and already being praised for its striking similarity to the more expensive alternatives on the shelves. Aldi The collection comprises three key gadgets – a toaster, a kettle and a microwave – all of which have the cool rounded edges, chrome hardware and 60s-look dials and buttons you could dream of. There are three colours up for grabs in each new launch – take your pick from either a high gloss cream and black, or a slightly more muted matt grey, all of which would look equally great on wooden, marble or slate countertops. Aldi Prices at Aldi are always remarkably, but when you compare these to the Smeg line, they’re even more impressive – Smeg toasters, for instance, retail for £129, while kettles are around £119. Both of these pieces in the Aldi edit are just £19.99, with the microwave sitting at a slightly higher £44.99. Aldi Want to get ahead of the crowds?
