With that in mind, take the pressure off cooking a romantic meal on 14 February and tuck into one of these Valentine’s Day meal deals from the supermarkets – they’re all excellent value and ensure a delicious three-course menu, normally with a bottle of wine or bubbles thrown in, too. We’ve rounded up all the best supermarket Valentine’s Day meal deals so all you have to do is pop it in the oven, light a few candles and enjoy a fuss-free romantic meal for two. Supermarket Valentine’ s Day meal deals Marks & Spencer M&S is offering its biggest ever Valentine’s Day saving with this year’s meal deal – you could save up to £16.50. For £20 shoppers can tuck into a starter, main, side, dessert and a bottle of drink or box of chocolates. Look out for red and pink packaging in stores from February 9, which is when the deal will launch. Starter include Leek & Cheese Souffle Tarts or Duck Parfait with Plum Glaze, mains feature Rump Steak with Peppercorn Sauce or Salmon & Prawn En Croute, there’s a load of sides to choose from, including Sweet Potato Fries and Mac and Cheese, plus desserts such as Love Heart Churros, Billionaires Pots and Raspberry Profiteroles. Throw in delicious wine and chocolates, and you’ll be full for a while! Waitrose Waitrose Waitrose’s £20 Dinner for Two includes a starter, main, side, dessert and your choice of a bottle of fizz, wine or box of chocolates. To whet your appetite, some of your delectable options include Heston from Waitrose Bloody Mary Prawn Cocktail for starter, Vegan Beet Wellington or Rump Steaks with Chimichurri Butter for main and Raspberry Cheesecakes for dessert. £20, available at waitrose.com and in stores from 9 February. Sainsbury’ s Sainsbury’ s Sainsbury’ s Dinner for Two is just £15 this year, and allows you to indulge in a premium Taste the Difference starter, main, dessert and drink, without the hassle of cooking. An example menu could be the Antipasto Selection for starters, followed by Sirloin with Heart Butter and Truffled Maris Piper Mashed Potato on the side. Finish things off with a slice of New York Vanilla Cheesecake and wash it all down with a bottle of Morador Malbec. Tesco Tesco Tesco’s Valentine’s Meal for Two offer is £15 and includes a starter, main, two sides, a dessert and a choice of either a bottle of wine, Prosecco, a four-pack of beer or a non-alcoholic alternative. There are 32 products to chose from, including calamari, a burger kit, plant-based Wellingtons, heart-shaped potato croquettes and raspberry and passion fruit cheesecake slices. The offer is for Clubcard members only – yet another reason to get yourself one if you haven’t already. £15, available at tesco.com and in selected stores from 9 February. Aldi Aldi For Aldi’s Valentine’s meal deal, there are four three-course menus to choose from (including a vegan option), each consisting of a starter, main and dessert, plus the option to add a bottle of wine. The cheapest option comes in at £2.59 per person and includes a heart-shaped mini garlic pizza bread, heart-shaped lobster pasta and mini heart-shaped pancakes. Add a bottle of Costellore Prosecco Vino Frizzante and the total is still under £5 per person, making Aldi’s the best value supermarket meal deal by far. Morrisons Morrisons Morrisons’ The Best Dine In For Two Meal Deal gets customers a three-course dining experience including starters, mains, two sides, dessert and wine for £15. Saving shoppers up to £18.50 (or over 50 per cent), options include scallops and prawns, coq au vin, sirloin steak and white chocolate profiteroles, with a full vegan option including a luxury beef-less wellington. £15, available at morrisons.com from 26 January and in stores from 9 February. Asda Asda Asda’s Valentine’s Day meal deal includes an Extra Special starter, main, two sides, a bottle of wine or box of chocolates plus a Sky Store voucher worth £5.49, all for £15. Choose from a heart-shaped French Neufchâtel with honey and truffle drizzle, slow cooked ox cheek, vegan coq-au-vin pie and heart-shaped sticky toffee pudding. £15, available at asda.com and in stores from 3 February.
