YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Celebrity Bridgerton’ s Regé-Jean Page is returning to Netflix very soon By Kanika Banwait - February 9, 2022 We were all devastated to hear Regé-Jean Page, aka the Duke of Hastings, wouldn’t be returning for season 2 of Bridgerton. But fans of the actor will be pleased to know he’s returning to our Netflix screens very soon – in fact, even before the second series of Bridgerton comes out. The only downside is that this time, you won’t get to stare longingly into his eyes. Regé is back on Netflix, but behind the camera, to narrate a new nature documentary called Surviving Paradise: A Family Tale. The 78-minute special will focus on the Okavango Delta, ‘a vast oasis’ in Botswana, ‘isolated from the rest of the world by unforgiving desert’. Netflix The official synopsis for Surviving Paradise says: ‘It’s also a refuge, built and maintained daily by its inhabitants; in return, it caters for their every need. Big cats may appear to reign here, but in reality, the fate of every creature, great and small, is intertwined. ‘This film explores the blueprints for building the perfect world, managing it sustainably, and maintaining it – despite extremes of drought, famine, and flood.’ The documentary will also follow the people who are ‘passing the secret formula on’ and trying to keep ‘their Eden intact’. Netflix Surviving Paradise: A Family Tale is directed by Matt Meech, the man behind Planet Earth II, and Renée Godfrey, who was responsible for Human Planet. The director of photography for the film is Brad Bestelink, who worked on National Geographic docuseries Savage Kingdom, and executive producer James Honeyborne was part of the team that created Africa and Blue Planet II. If those nature documentaries are anything to go by, we can expect some incredible visuals and, with Regé-Jean Page narrating, soothing audio. The documentary is set to land on Netflix on 3 March 2022, so those in need of a Regé fix won’t have to wait too much longer.
