YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Celebrity Waitress the Musical fans you don’ t want to miss this one-woman show By You Magazine - January 10, 2020 Waitress the musical is one of the smash-hit West End shows of this decade, winning thousands of fans with its unique blend of humour, charm and of course, brilliant songs, composed by Sara Bareilles of Love Song fame. Getty Images And much of its recent success can be attributed to Welsh X Factor finalist turned musical star Lucie Jones, who joined the cast of Waitress last year and has been wowing audiences with her turn as the principle character of Jenna ever since. Although with a track record in shows including Les Misérables, Legally Blonde, The Wedding Singer, and Rent, it’s no surprise that she’s been such a hit. Whether you’ve witnessed Lucie’s incredible vocals in person on the boards or through the small screen, you’ll know that any occasion where she’s centre stage is one that you won’t want to miss. That why we’re heading to the Adelphi Theatre website sharpish to book tickets her one-woman show, Lucie Jones – Live at the Adelphi, which is taking place for one night only this February. LW Theatres The show see Lucie work her way through a range of both old classics and modern hits, as well as sharing stories from the duration of her remarkable career (anyone else secretly hoping for some Simon Cowell gossip?). She’ll be accompanied by the 22-piece London Musical Theatre Orchestra, so you can expect show-stopping songs aplenty. ‘As Lucie’s time “at the diner’” draws to a close next summer, this is the perfect moment to celebrate all that she has done in a venue she now calls home,’ the Adelphi explains on its website, referring to the fact that Lucie will pause her performances from 27 January when Bareilles reprises her position as Jenna for a limited run. Getty Images But fear not, Lucie fans, because she’ll be back from 9 March, and in the meantime, you’ve got her Live at the Adelphi set to see you through. Lucie Jones – Live at the Adelphi will take place on Sunday 16 February 2020 at 7pm.
