YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Travel easyJet has created its first ever advent calendar and it includes flight vouchers By You Magazine - November 29, 2021 There are hundreds of alternative advent calendars on the market nowadays, from beauty and food, to stationary and candles. The latest advent calendar available? One full of travel perks, courtesy of easyJet. The budget airline has created its first ever ‘advent(ure) calendar’, which features 12 drawers of travel perks and treats. Joe Pepler / PinPep The contents include: four pairs of return flights for two people (including hold luggage), one year of easyJet plus membership (worth £215), and £45 worth of vouchers to spend on the airline’s onboard Bistro. Inside, you’ll also find £75 worth of vouchers for tours and excursions across Europe. Plus, a £50 voucher for car hire. Joe Pepler / PinPep It won’t come as a surprise to see the calendar isn’t exactly a bargain, costing £695. However, it’s pretty good value for money considering how much money you get off each individual item overall. The cost of everything is worth more than £1,500, so you’re making a saving of around £800. What’s more, proceeds from sales of the easyJet advent calendar will be donated to Age UK Bedford. Joe Pepler / PinPep Research from easyJet revealed that travelling abroad was the most desired activity for Brits in 2022. The study revealed 52 per cent of respondents said planning trips and adventures abroad is a top priority, while 46 per cent are planning to go on more trips than usual next year. One in 10 people are hoping to take at least three holidays in 2022. Well, we all want to make up for lost time and opportunities, right? Rachael Smith, director of proposition and innovation for easyJet, said: ‘We know that our customers can’t wait to make up for lost time and enjoy the experiences they’ve been missing, and so we are delighted to have launched our very first “Advent(ure) Calendar” to give the gift of travel to a loved one this December.’ Unfortunately, the limited-edition advent calendar has now sold out, but it’s worth having it on your radar to keep an eye out next year.
