YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food Aldi has launched a Giant Cookie Kit for less than £2 just in time for Mother s Day By You Magazine - March 1, 2021 It can be tricky trying to think of fun ways to spoil loved ones during lockdown, whatever the occasion – there are only so many virtual drinks to be had and balloons to blow up, right? Mother’s Day is only a couple of weeks away, which means it falls before many of the lockdown restrictions regarding socialising are to be lifted. While we won’t be able to go out to a restaurant or visit the theatre this year, Aldi has come to the rescue with a giant cookie kit that anyone with a sweet-tooth will love. Alamy Stock Photos That’s right, Aldi has introduced a huge 18cm cookie said to rival the renowned giant Millie’s Cookie gift. And the best bit? It’s made the tasty treat more affordable for customers, coming in at just £1.69 – almost £20 less than the similar product from Millie’s Cookies. Aldi The kit contains ingredients to make a gooey white chocolate cookie and pretty pink icing to decorate. All you need to do is mix the ingredients together, roll out the dough and pop it in the oven for 12 minutes until it’s lightly golden. Our mouths are watering just at the thought of it. Once cooled, the cookies can be decorated however you please and viola, you’re done. It sounds like the hardest part of this kit is trying not to eat it all before giving it to Mum! Aldi also suggests loading the cookie up by adding some of your favourite toppings, including marshmallows or chocolate chunks. If a giant cookie sounds like too much of a mouthful, you could always opt for Aldi’s smaller chewy and gooey Dominos-style cookies, instead. Aldi The kit will be available in stores from 7 March, so you’ve got plenty of time to buy, decorate and deliver to Mum before the special day. Looking for something more substantial? Try one of these Mother’s Day restaurant meal kits or head to M&S for their huge Mother’s Day selection of gifts, including a ‘Mumosa’ cocktail. Yes, really.
