The recipe was posted on TikTok by foodie blogger @caughtsnackin and it’s been praised for being super similar to the real deal. Gus Dapperton) – BENEE Homemade Starbucks Frappuccino recipe Ice cubes 2 shots of espresso 1 cup of milk 1 tbsp chocolate syrup (plus extra for drizzling on top) 2 tsp granulated sugar Whipped cream Add the ice cubes, espresso shots, milk, 1 tbsp chocolate sauce and sugar to a blender and whizz until perfectly mixed. Pour into a cup and top with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Drink and enjoy! It couldn’t be simpler to make and the comments on the video tutorial are full of praise for how good the drink is. One person said: ‘As a Starbucks employee you did it amazing’, while others have offered their own tips to perfect the recipe: ‘Add more ice for authentic Starbucks frappe, as espresso shots almost melted the ice,’ said one. Another added: ‘Ok so I’m actually a barista and I recommend waiting until the end to add the ice because everything else melts it!’ TikTok/@caughtsnackin Starbucks are reopening the doors to 150 of their UK locations, mainly drive-thrus and a few takeaway-only cafes (plus delivery services), on 14 May, so it shouldn’t be long until many of us can get hold of the real deal. Not everyone will be able to get to an open store however, so @caughtsnackin’s brilliant recipe is a welcome relief for coffee-addicts everywhere. And for those non-caffeine drinkers, Starbucks recently shared a recipe for recreating their chocolate Frappuccino at home.
