YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food Sainsbury’ s is selling Leon waffle fries so you can enjoy them at home By You Magazine - May 13, 2020 Those lovely people at Leon have been doing a world of good during lockdown – when they had to shut all their restaurants, the chain quickly swerved to producing home delivery food boxes as part of their Feed Britain campaign. With all profits going to the Feed NHS campaign, not only are they raising funds to serve hot, healthy meals to NHS critical care workers, they’re also helping to keep farmers and food producers in business. That’s right, as of 15 May, you can buy Leon’s waffle fries from the supermarket, ready to heat up and eat at home. The news was announced by food industry magazine The Grocer on Instagram, however this isn’t the first time the healthy fast food restaurant has ventured into supermarket products – you can already buy a range of their sauces, dips and oils at Sainsbury’s stores and online. Leon A favourite lunchtime haunt of many a city dweller and worker, Leon also teased the news on their own Instagram, while advertising the fact that their ‘plant-fill dips and sauces’ are currently 50p off in Sainsbury’s. They finished off the post by saying: ‘And the good news doesn’t stop there. In a few days’ time we are launching NEW products that we think you’ll really want to know about. Keep your ? on the ?’. The fries will be on sale at an introductory price of £1.50 before shortly moving to £2, so we suggest moving fast if you want to stock up the freezer. See you at the checkout!
