YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food Aldi is bringing back its heart-shaped casserole dishes By Sophie Hines - January 28, 2022 Planning to surprise your loved one with a delicious home-cooked meal this Valentine’s Day? Or perhaps just treat yourself to something warm and hearty? Then you can’t go wrong with Aldi’s heart-shaped casserole dish, which is making a well-timed return just in time for Valentine’s Day. The budget supermarket is well-known for its Le Creuset dupes, with cast iron cookware in gorgeous colours – in fact, the blush pink range sold out almost immediately last year. The latest iteration features a large heart-shaped dish in either red or white, which will be available for £19.99. There will also be a set of two smaller cast iron dishes, available in the same two colourways, for £14.99. Considering that a Le Creuset’s round casserole dishes start from £185, this is a real bargain, and we can’t imagine the Aldi heart-shaped dishes will hang around long when they launch on February 6th (we’ll keep our eyes peeled to bring you updates!) As for what to cook in your casserole dish if you snap one up, we suggest Mary Berry’s rich beef and mushroom stew, or Prue Leith’s venison casserole with barley, cabbage and apple salad. Who wouldn’t be impressed by one of those recipes for Valentine’s Day?! This is not the only amazing buy to come from Aldi recently. The budget retailer has also launched a very popular dupe for the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser hot chocolate maker, a bath treat inspired by a celeb favourite from Liz Earle, and a log burner that’s a complete bargain for updating your garden.
