Aldi has just expanded its velvet furniture offering to include even more luxe-looking armchair and ottoman styles. If you’re a fan of the supermarket’s Specialbuys offering, you’ll likely be aware of the much-hyped velvet scalloped chair that is an Oliver Bonas dupe and is so popular it almost immediately sells out every time it comes back into stock. Off the back of the scalloped chair’s success, Aldi has launched several different iterations since, including a tub chair, office chair, chaise lounge, ottoman and even a pet bed, most of which are dupes of much more expensive products from brands such as Oliver Bonas and MADE. And now, the retailer is at it again with a new selection of Aldi velvet furniture to shop. There are two new styles, a wing back armchair and a new style of ottoman, all of which feature the metallic gold-tipped wooden legs we often see on Aldi’s furniture. The armchair comes in grey and blue and features vertical stitching to create a soft, padded effect. Either would be a great addition to a living room to inject a bit of that luxe feeling velvet immediately brings to a room. The stylish design features velvet covered buttons and would look ideal at the end of a bed for storing away extra blankets, sheets or anything else you want out of sight.
