Earlier this month, both Marks & Spencer and Morrisons released details of the Christmas foods they’ll be selling in the lead up to the big day and not only do their selections look and sound delicious, but they’re great value for money too. Meanwhile Marks & Spencer will be selling an incredible Woodland Yule Log for just £15, prawn sliders, festive handcrafted sausage rolls, massive turkeys and a Christmas rainbow cake that definitely has our name written all over it. And if that wasn’t enough, Tesco has now revealed its festive foods range too with a specific focus on alternative pigs in blankets. Much to the delight of two in three Brits (64 per cent) who have named the food as their favourite Christmas trimming, the supermarket will be offering nine different types of pigs in blankets this year. We’re talking everything from the traditional pigs in blankets to jumbo ones and vegan ones, to chicken ones, stuffing ones, spicy ones and even chocolate varieties. And yes, you’re going to want to try them all. Especially as they’re all priced at £5 or under meaning you won’t have to fork out a fortune to do it. The nine Tesco pigs in blankets on sale for Christmas 2019 Tesco 10 Chicks in Blankets £2 Tesco For those who fancy something different, these delicately seasoned 10 British chicken sausages come hand-wrapped in with smoked streaky bacon for the perfect Christmas nibble and can be found in store from 25th November. Tesco Finest 10 Chorizo Style Pigs in Blankets £2 50 Tesco Or for another tasty twist, try 10 chorizo-style British pork sausages with smoked red peppers, paprika and garlic hand wrapped in oak-smoked streaky bacon. In store from 25th November. Tesco Finest Stuffing Wreath with Pigs in Blankets and Cranberry Compote £5 Tesco The wreath is made with British pork and Bramley apples and has a centre of tangy cranberry compote. It’s also studded with whole cranberries and topped with six Tesco Finest pigs in blankets. In store from 9th December.
