While it’s not impossible to spot a royal if you’re really lucky – Kate Middleton has been spotted browsing the aisles of Waitrose in the past and Prince Harry has been known to take commercial flights – your chances of rubbing shoulders with the Queen are slim to none. Quaglino’s was the first restaurant in the UK to host a ruling British monarch after extending an invitation to the Queen after her coronation in 1952, an invitation she’s taken up many times since, too. The Goring, a Michelin star restaurant, is also not far from Buckingham Palace and the Queen Mother was also known to be a regular.
