Breath Of The Wild ‘ Secret’ Storyline Baffles Players 8 October 2020 by Lara Jackson A “newly-discovered” Breath of the Wild secret storyline has left players baffled – and annoyed – over three years since the game’s release. Twitter user ChuChuMcGoo recently took to Twitter with a BOTW revelation that’s blown the minds of hundreds of gamers, as it reveals that the house you purchase in the game has actually been yours all along. Credit: Nintendo Breath of the Wild fans know that the game kicks off with Link awakening from a 100 year slumber, and as you can imagine, a lot’s happened in that time. With no memory and one heck of a to-do list, Link sets about saving Hyrule once again. ADVERT ADVERT One of the game’s side-quests allows you to purchase a home for yourself in Hateno Village. It’s an expensive but fun endeavour, even if it does cost you a ton of rupees. What ChuChuMcGoo notes though, was that the house in Hateno Village was actually your home all along, and you’re actually scrimping and saving to purchase a house that you already own. In short: it’s a very, very expensive scam. How dare you, Nintendo! “WHAT DO YOU MEAN LINK IS FROM HATENO VILLAGE,” tweeted the gamer. “ARE YOU TELLING ME I SPENT ALL THOSE RUPEES FOR A HOUSE I WAS ALREADY THE OWNER OF??????”ADVERT ADVERT WHAT DO YOU MEAN LINK IS FROM HATENO VILLAGEARE YOU TELLING ME I SPENT ALL THOSE RUPEES FOR A HOUSE I WAS ALREADY THE OWNER OF?????? pic.twitter.com/65Mlxi6C7U- ChuChuMcGoo @ Training Arc (@chuchumcgoo) October 7, 2020 They went on to add: “I THOUGHT THIS SIDEQUEST NAME WAS JUST THEM REFERRING TO LINK BEING THE NEW OWNER GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK KARSON.” The revelation has baffled gamers, with many people confirming they hadn’t known this information – even those who’ve played and completed the game multiple times. One user responded: “imagine link showing off his new home to zelda after defeating calamity ganon and she just stares at him for a solid minute and just goes ‘… link, you already live here. this is your house from 100 years ago.’ and link just breaks.”ADVERT ADVERT imagine link showing off his new home to zelda after defeating calamity ganon and she just stares at him for a solid minute and just goes "… link, you already live here. this is your house from 100 years ago." and link just breaks- Kalmo (@Kalmo512) October 7, 2020 However, not everyone was surprised by the news. One user said: “Lol i thought they made it pretty obvious when they first tell you the guy who owned the house left to go to the castle 100 years ago.” Lol i thought they made it pretty obvious when they first tell you the guy who owned the house left to go to the castle 100 years agoWhen I heard that I was like https://t.co/XsavZ6Nz4d pic.twitter.com/PiNCok8rYd- Matthew Sclafani (@NEEMOAHTOAD) October 8, 2020 Whether you knew this or not, it’s incredibly cool to see Breath of the Wild is still surprising fans even three years after its release.
