RDR2’ s Arthur Morgan Responds To The Last Of Us Part 2 Controversy 22 June 2020 by Lara Jackson The Last of Us Part 2 is officially here and, as expected, it’s already become one of the most controversial games of this generation. Players have taken to Metacritic to review-bomb the latest game from Naughty Dog, leading to a user review score of 3.9 (at the time of writing). Just one of the many voices impressed with the offering from Sony is the one and only Roger Clark, who played Arthur Morgan in 2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2. As a Star Wars fan who didn’t like Last Jedi I am not gonna criticize those of you who dislike #TLOU2, that’s fine but I am totally immersed. It’s a landmark in the medium. Best facial capture I have seen to date along with excellent performances, design and pace of storytelling- Roger Clark (@rclark98) June 20, 2020 Responding to criticism over Part 2, Clark tweeted: “As a Star Wars fan who didn’t like Last Jedi I am not gonna criticize those of you who dislike #TLOU2, that’s fine but I am totally immersed. Their use of sound is a key element of this. Masterful pacing.” And sound too, one thing Naughty Dog are never afraid to do is let the game breathe once in a while. The review scores for the game and the movie Clark mentions, The Last Jedi, are remarkably similar when it comes to the critics vs. the fans. Naughty Dog top dog and the game’s director, Neil Druckmann, hasn’t responded to the backlash other than to note just how many people were leaving reviews on Metacritic.ADVERT ADVERT He tweeted: “Oh man… in just a few hours we have almost DOUBLE the number of user reviews for #TheLastofUsPartII than the first game received in seven years.
