Here's the schedule, with gametimes and TV information, plus pitching matchups as they are announced. Updated: Oct 11, 11;10 p.m .  The Cleveland Guardians and Seattle Mariners both swept best-of-three wild-card series in the American League, but they both came up on the short end on Tuesday night when the American League Division Series started.  The Houston Astros came back in dramatic fashion to take Game 1 over the Mariners, winning 8-7 on Yordan Alvarez's walk-off three-run homer. And New York got a big home run from Anthony Rizzo to beat the Guardians 4-1.  With the new format this year, the two division winners with the best records get first-round byes. That's the Houston Astros, who have the No. 1 seed, and the New York Yankees, who finished second. Houston gets fellow AL West partner Seattle in the best-of-five AL division series starting on Tuesday and the Yankees will host  Cleveland.  During the regular season, Houston finished with a 12-7 record against Seattle, who are in the playoffs for the first time since 2001.
