Another Sonic Movie Leak Has Surfaced & Fans Are Thrilled 7 November 2019 by Lara Jackson Taking any existing franchise and adapting it for the big screen is always a gamble, and if you’re taking on the likes of the one and only Sonic the Hedgehog then you absolutely don’t wanna eff it up. Unfortunately for Paramount, its plans for a live-action Sonic movie were dashed with the reveal of the movie’s first trailer, which was heavily criticised online. Credit: Paramount The trailer featured a pretty terrifying-looking Sonic with teeth and no gloves. Yeah. Safe to say that SEGA fans weren’t best pleased.ADVERT ADVERT It was then announced by the movie’s top dogs that Sonic would go back to the drawing board to make sure that fans weren’t disappointed in the final product. When the sh*t hit the fan, I went over there and said, ‘The most important thing to do, man, is say, ‘I f*cked up,’’ “He’d already sent a tweet out an hour before I got there. He’s a good man. It was exactly the right way to handle that. The fans have a voice in this too. There’s a right way to listen.” Miller added, when asked if he’d seen the redesign: “in fact I have. And I think the fans will be pleased.”ADVERT ADVERT Could the supposedly leaked image be the Sonic he’s referring to? Following the change of plans, the Sonic the Hedgehog movie has been delayed. It’s now slated for a release date of 14 February 2020.
