Geralt’ s Bathtub Scene Is In Netflix’ s The Witcher & Thirsty Gamers Can’ t Cope 1 November 2019 by Lara Jackson Netflix officially unveiled the first full and official trailer for its upcoming adaptation of The Witcher, and the internet had a lot of thoughts. Aside from the awesome fight scenes, intricate story and dazzlingly bleak setting we were all treated to in the video, we also got to see something a little extra-special: Geralt taking a bath. Credit: CD Projekt Red For longstanding fans of the series, the Geralt-in-the-bath scene is hugely important, not just to people who love a lil bit o’ nudity, but also to meme culture, The Witcher culture, and to that Dark Horse statue that was made to recognise the moment.ADVERT ADVERT People weren’t too hopeful about the Netflix show including the scene, since the streaming service has been pretty clear about following the books and not the games. However, gamers were left seriously impressed after the iconic scene was spotted in the trailer. Credit: Netflix And of course, Twitter lost its damn mind. You can see just a few of the thirsty AF tweets below. (Tbf, they are all 100% correct). the only gamer girl bath water I want is geralt of rivia’s- Nathan Grayson (@Vahn16) October 31, 2019 i am now blessing your timeline with henry cavill bath tub geralt pic.twitter.com/srNCGDRRUH- trex (@turexu) November 1, 2019 Geralt in the bath ? this trailer made my nipples hard https://t.co/t5zTGCpczQ- ??meli?? (@_melijuana) October 31, 2019 Interestingly, the scene has raised one question in particular: if Netflix has based the series on the books, why bother with the fan service for players of the CD Projekt Red games?ADVERT ADVERT Well, there’s an answer to that, and surprisingly (not) you’ll only know it if you’ve read the books… Is it the scene in the Sword of Destiny when Geralt comes back home after killing a zeugel? Cuz that's the first bath scene I know of in the books. Think the story's name is Shards of Ice.(the name differs in my country, due to translation)- Shock to the System (@Shock2DaSystem) November 1, 2019 Bath tubs and nudity aside, the show is looking even more impressive than the previous teaser suggested, with naysayers of the show now admitting that it looks seriously cool. Netflix has stated of the show: “You can’t outrun destiny just because you’re terrified of it. Henry Cavill is Geralt of Rivia. The Witcher arrives December 20.ADVERT ADVERT “The witcher Geralt, a mutated monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts.” In case you missed it, check out the official trailer in the video below!
