LEGO Super Mario Collection Has Been Revealed & It Looks Unbelievable 12 March 2020 by Lara Jackson LEGO and Nintendo teased an unlikely partnership earlier this month: a dedicated (and official) LEGO x Super Mario collaboration. Thankfully we haven’t had too long to wait for the official reveal of the sets, and they look better than we could have hoped for! Credit: LEGO As shared across LEGO and Nintendo’s social media channels, a newly-released trailer showcases what appears to be an electronic buildable Mario, along with everyone’s favourite Shy Guys, green pipes and more. Not only does Mario have expressive electronic eyes, but he also has a coin-collecting panel on his chest. In a press release, the companies said: “The new LEGO products will let people build and experience the playful world of Super Mario like never before. Using new technology developed jointly by Nintendo and the LEGO Group, the new product line features an interactive LEGO Mario figure who collects coins in real-life games created with LEGO bricks. It’s neither a video game nor a traditional LEGO brick-based set, but a new experience that brings Super Mario to life in the physical LEGO world.” Credit: LEGO Sadly there’s not yet a release date for the sets, but it’s a safe bet to say these are going to be in VERY high demand when they do drop! Keep your eyes peeled for a launch day for these very, very special sets.ADVERT ADVERT Credit: LEGO In other Mario news, iconic jeans brand, Levi’s, has partnered with Nintendo to bring us the finest garb this side of the Mushroom Kingdom. Teasing the upcoming collaboration in celebration of Mario Day on March 10, the companies shared some images of what we can expect to see. The full line of clothing will be dropping on April 1, and it’s not likely to be sticking around for long. If you’re after a piece of history, you best act fast! Happy #MAR10Day.
