Twitch’ s Alinity ‘ Won’ t Be Banned’ For Throwing Cat But Her Haters Might 24 July 2019 by Lara Jackson Twitch streamer Alinity has been criticised and condemned the world over after she livestreamed herself allegedly abusing her pet cat. The thirty-one year old streamer, best known for her World of Warcraft videos, was recording a video when her cat walked in front of her screen. She responded by seemingly throwing the poor animal over her head, though the angle of the camera makes it hard to fully see if the cat was harmed. However, Alinity herself is claiming that she’s not about to be banned from the platform anytime soon. Credit: Alinity On her Discord server [via TheGamer] she wrote: “Don’t worry guys I’m fine. I spoke to someone at twitch today and I’m not getting banned. But, people who have been harassing me might be.” ADVERT ADVERT It’s not known what Twitch has decided what to do with the situation as of yet, but there’s plenty of people out there who are hoping Alinity’s claims are false and hope she’ll no longer be welcome on Twitch. Credit: Twitch As for her claims of harassment, the controversial social media presence has since taken to Twitter to express her concern about people who she claims have been approaching her home. She wrote, “Please stop coming to my house and asking my neighbors where I am. It’s actually really scary.” ADVERT ADVERT She later added: “Hate to interrupt a good witch hunt in full swing but if you’re using dubious screenshots that are old or fake or whatever else you’re pretty mean spirited. But I guess that’s the point.” With celebrities including the creator of The Office, as well as PETA weighing in, it hopefully won’t be long before we hear from Twitch as to their decision.
