Wario-Shaped Class A Drugs Are ‘ Increasing In Numbers’ In Japan 20 June 2019 by Lara Jackson A 27-year-old man has been caught smuggling Class A drugs into Japan. Satoshi Kishimoto was arrested carrying ecstasy pills in the shape of Nintendo bad guy, Wario, much to the hilarity of the internet. Credit: Kobe Customs As reported by Asahi, this is the third drugs offence Kishimoto has been subject to, but it’s the first time he’s been caught with Wario pills. The Wario pills – which contain MDMA – have apparently been “increasing in numbers,” according to a Kobe Customs spokesperson.ADVERT ADVERT Nintendo is pretty hard-handed when it comes to others using its intellectual property. I can’t imagine the company is best pleased about the rise in Wario-related crimes in Japan… Credit: Nintendo Other than the use of its property on illegal drugs, 2019 is gearing up to be a seriously impressive year for Nintendo. While Sony and Microsoft look towards the future, Nintendo is hard at work solidifying its line-up of Switch games in a move that’s not only less risky, but also incredibly exciting for fans.ADVERT ADVERT It can take time for companies to make money in the months and even years following a hardware launch, so whether or not you think Nintendo is killing it in the games industry right now, it’s more likely than ever that they’ll be raking in some serious profit – especially when compared to its competitors.
