Wario-Shaped Class A Drugs Are ‘ Increasing In Numbers’ In Japan 20 June 2019 by Lara Jackson A 27-year-old man has been caught smuggling Class A drugs into Japan. Satoshi Kishimoto was arrested carrying ecstasy pills in the shape of Nintendo bad guy, Wario, much to the hilarity of the internet. The Wario pills – which contain MDMA – have apparently been “increasing in numbers,” according to a Kobe Customs spokesperson.ADVERT ADVERT Nintendo is pretty hard-handed when it comes to others using its intellectual property. I can’t imagine the company is best pleased about the rise in Wario-related crimes in Japan… Credit: Nintendo Other than the use of its property on illegal drugs, 2019 is gearing up to be a seriously impressive year for Nintendo. The company’s E3 2019 Nintendo Direct absolutely stole the show, revealing the likes of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for the Nintendo Switch, upcoming new Poke-games Pokémon Sword and Shield and a first look at the highly-anticipated Animal Crossing: New Horizons.ADVERT ADVERT Let’s not forget the defining moment of E3 2019: when Nintendo stole not only the show, but the whole darn conference by announcing that a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is in the works. Credit: Nintendo Admittedly, this isn’t a game we’re going to see anytime soon (especially not in the next 12 months), but it’s a solid indicator of the direction in which Nintendo is headed, and considering that BOTW is one of the most popular games on the Switch, it’s yet another sure-fire success. Credit: Microsoft/Nintendo/Sony What’s your opinion on Nintendo’s line-up for the coming months? It’s definitely looking stronger than most of the offerings from Sony and Microsoft right now, but let’s wait and see… Featured Image Credit: Kobe CustomsADVERT ADVERT TweetShareSharePin Follow us on @GameByte @gamebyte GameByte GameByte GameByte Noobs Play @GameByte @gamebyte GameByte GameByte GameByte Noobs Play External Links Policy GameByte Staff About GameByte Advertise with us Careers Ambassador Program Contact Terms and Conditions Privacy Policy Cookie Policy Manage Cookies Preferences Submit Your Content FragHero Sporf 9 to 5 Life Social Chain Social Chain Agency
