Troy Baker May Have Accidentally Revealed Release For Death Stranding 16 January 2019 by Lara Jackson If you haven’t yet taken part in the ‘Glow Up’ challenge, you’ve probably seen people do it on your various social media news feeds. As a reminder, the challenge asks you to post a picture of yourself 10 years ago alongside a recent snap, and people have really run with it. Looking forward to the next ten. #10YearChallenge pic.twitter.com/uN6FxlQAP3 — Xbox (@Xbox) January 15, 2019 What a #glowup! #10YearChallenge ?: Sims.Fandom pic.twitter.com/3sHIZ8JFf8 — The Sims (@TheSims) January 16, 2019 It looks like the one and only Troy Baker may have run a little too far with it though, as he shared pictures of one of his 2009 roles alongside a 2019 image…ADVERT ADVERT #2009vs2019 …? pic.twitter.com/QVP3yRHqla — Troy Baker (@TroyBakerVA) January 16, 2019 Funny and cute, right? Credit: Kojima Productions Well…people are pretty focused on the inclusion of his Death Stranding character used as his 2019 image, believing Baker may have accidentally confirmed the game is releasing this year. Obviously — JAPANESE ARTIST (@MMoujaddidi) January 16, 2019 There’s been a bit of a focus on Baker’s inclusion of a question mark alongside the images, which some people have taken to be a pretty cryptic hint.ADVERT ADVERT “..?” Notice this thing — G-Yuu (@JiyuuGamerPL) January 16, 2019 Death Stranding is the upcoming title from Hideo Kojima, featuring a star-studded cast and a lot of weird babies. Troy Baker will be joined by Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen and Guillermo Del Toro. The game is rumoured to be close to release, with most people assuming it’s due out either this year or next. 2019 would be a pretty weird time for the PlayStation exclusive title to launch though, as the next-gen consoles are believed to be coming out in 2020. Credit: Kojima Productions We’ve been hearing rumours that Sony’s other highly-anticipated game, The Last Of Us 2 (which coincidentally also features Troy Baker) might be getting a 2019 release too. This makes a little sense, as The Last Of Us released on PS3 just a few months before the PS4 launched. It’s definitely not too much of stretch to think it’s a viable strategy for Sony to push for final console sales before the PS5 release.ADVERT ADVERT Credit: Naughty Dog But would Sony really release two of its biggest cash cow games just before the PS5? It’s unlikely. Still, we can dream, right?
