Now, the cherry on top is that The Office and A Quiet Place star John Krasinski steps into the role. For years, Marvel fans have fan-casted the 42-year-old as "the smartest man alive," so seeing it come to life on the big screen is a literal dream come true. Unfortunately, Mr. Fantastic's on-screen presence is cut short once a vengeful Wanda, who's controlling her Earth-838 self via the Darkhold dream-walk, arrives and slaughters the Illuminati with ease.Article continues below advertisement After Black Bolt dies, Mr. Fantastic stretches his arm out to prevent Wanda from causing further damage. However, Wanda counterattacks, overstretching and shredding Mr. Fantastic's body until he explodes. It's truly a brutal and disturbing scene. For us, his brief appearance feels like fan service rather than permanently cementing him as the MCU's Fantastic Four leader. Still, we can never be too sure. For all we know, John could agree to return as the Earth-616 version of the character, but that depends on if he's willing to stick around for several more movies and if Marvel Studios is pleased with his portrayal.
