And in many instances, patients at hospitals are charged exorbitant amounts of money for common healthcare products, like the time a woman was hit with a $3,620 receipt for liquid IV Tylenol. Hospital bill shock is a common occurrence many folks have come face to face with, however, there are plenty of online resources that give some tips on how to negotiate that number down. Tons of other TikTok users chimed in and concurred that yes, they've had several run-ins with healthcare providers in the United States that seemed a bit "scammish" to them.
