The following criteria are developed in collaboration with the state governments and the administration of the Union Territories: Educational background: The minimum educational requirement for various courses ranges from class VIII to class XII. Age Restrictions: The course requires a minimum age of 14 years. The examination has no upper age limit. The maximum age for widows or women divorced from their husbands is 35 years. Ex-servicemen and widows of servicemen killed in action are eligible for a 5-year reduction in the upper age limit.
