Well, our Poké mon Go type chart is here to save the day. All Pokémon have one or two types, which is vital knowledge when weighing up their potential effectiveness in battle - and this chart makes it easy to work out each one's strengths and weaknesses. The wait for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is almost over, but there's still lots to do in the mobile version of the popular video game franchise. Our Poké mon Go type chart will take the guesswork out of figuring out which types play well against certain others. All Pokémon have special effectivenesses and weaknesses depending on their type - or, sometimes, their duo-type. Matching up types effectively is one of the best ways to ensure a win, whether it be against a Gym or Team Rocket. The type chart will show which Pokémon are super-effective or have a weakness against other Pokémon. Super-effective attacks will do extra damage, while not-so effective attacks will do less. Similarly, your own Pokémon will take extra damage from attacks that are super effective against their type, and less from attacks that are weak against their type. Some type confluences are obvious, like those pertaining to the fire versus water type Pokémon, but others can be deceptive. Gyarados, for example, is also a flying (and water) type as well as being a dragon, so what does that mean under battle conditions? If you're not sure what type a Pokémon is, you can check its name on the statistics page or in the Pokédex. For now though, let's get to that chart. From this table you can see whether a move will be strong, weak, or very weak against a Pokémon of a certain type. Very weak attacks are also known as "immunities" but unlike other Pokémon games they will still do some damage. Conversely, the above table also shows which attacks your Pokémon will be resistant or very resistant to - or weak against, depending upon their type. For example, a ground-type attack will be super effective against the best fire type Pokémon, but not very effective against a grass type Pokémon. It will be even less effective against some of the best flying type Pokémon. However, a ground type Pokémon will also be resistant to poison-type attacks, and especially electric-type attacks. On the other hand, it will be weak to water attacks from the best water type Pokémon. By referring to our chart you can make sure that you always use the best Pokémon for the job. Don't forget that many Pokémon have double types, which will give them the advantages and disadvantages of both types! Now you know the types, these are the best Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
