The best cheap Apple Pencil deals in October 2022 By Jennifer Allen published 16 September 2022 Where you can find the Apple Pencil for the best price (Image credit: Future) Apple Pencil deals continue to be rare. That's why we're always keeping an eye out for any useful discounts or special offers on the much sought-after stylus. Even at this stage of the year, we've only ever seen discounts a handful of times on both the first and the second-generation Apple Pencil. The Apple Pencil costs $129/£119 for the second-generation version while it's $99/£89 for the first-gen edition. The lowest we've yet seen for the second-generation Apple Pencil is $99/£99 but that was only during major sales events. Usually, a discount of between $10 - $20 or £5 - £15 is much more common. The latest second-generation Apple Pencil is usually the one everyone wants so we're focusing on that here. You'll need it if you're using an iPad from 2018 or later. It's more expensive but it has neat advantages like a button that allows you to easily switch between tools. Plus, you can attach it magnetically to the side of your iPad Pro and it will also wirelessly charge. Still, we're keeping an eye out for some bargains on the first-generation Apple Pencil for anyone with an older iPad as, ultimately, drawing performance is identical. We're particularly hopeful that Black Friday 2022 will provide some Apple Pencil deals. Apple Pencil Gen 2 deals Apple Pencil 2 deals only tend to pop up during major sales events. Discounts tend to be far more incremental during regular times of the year. We can't see that changing too soon as the Apple Pencil 2 continues to be fairly popular at any price. However, we do have our price comparison chart below to help you find the best value options at any time.Today's best Apple Pencil (2nd Gen) deals (opens in new tab) (opens in new tab) (opens in new tab)$129 (opens in new tab)View Deal (opens in new tab) (opens in new tab) (opens in new tab)$129 (opens in new tab)View Deal (opens in new tab) (opens in new tab) (opens in new tab)$129.99 (opens in new tab)View Deal (opens in new tab)Show More DealsWe check over 250 million products every day for the best prices Apple Pencil Gen 1 deals The older first-generation Apple Pencil is a lot cheaper than the newer Apple Pencil.
