Last year, for example, the carrier had a full array of deals on the big day itself but it offered a ton of teasers in the week preceding with a one-off flash sale. While we can't say for certain whether this will happen again in 2022, generally speaking, industry data seems to suggest a trend towards earlier sales. For example, the Adobe 2021 Holiday Shopping report (opens in new tab) has stated that sales between the 1st and 24th of November increased 19% year on year, whereas sales on the day were actually down 1%. Because of this, we're generally expecting retailers - Verizon included - to focus more on early bird shoppers in 2022. Will Verizon Black Friday deals available in store Yes - although you can expect online exclusives too. This is generally the case with all of the carrier's promotions, not just Verizon Black Friday deals. If you're interested in visiting in-store, Verizon stores generally open at 8am on Black Friday. You should, however, enter your zip code here (opens in new tab) and check your local stores' timetable, just in case it's different. What types of deals are offered over Black Friday at Verizon Generally speaking, Verizon's Black Friday deals offer the same types of promotiont that you'd find all year round at the retailer, with a focus on either trade-in rebates or a buy-one get-one-free promotion. For context, it's generally the case that you'll get anywhere between $800 to $1,000 off a flagship device, which can often mean a free phone. As always, however, you'll need to be signing up to a pricey unlimited data plan to be eligible. Where Verizon's Black Friday offerings may diverge from its usual offerings is with one-off tweaks to the formula. For example, you may see a slightly improved trade-in promotion on an older device, or even see the device being given away for free with an unlimited data line. This is more common on slightly older flagships - think the Google Pixel 6 or iPhone 12. Another area that Verizon may experiment with over Black Friday is with new customer bonuses. Right now, the carrier is giving away a free $200 online gift card for people who switch over, which could be switched up if it wants to be more competitive over the holiday season. Will there be Black Friday iPhone 14 deals at Verizon Yes absolutely - Verizon's line-up of Black Friday deals won't skip over offering competitive options for the iPhone 14. The question is, how good will they actually be? For example, we've already seen the carrier offer trade-in rebates of up to $1,000 on the Pro devices specifically ($800 off the standard device) with its initial iPhone 14 deals at launch. Put simply, these are really, really strong promotions and we'd be surprised if the carrier switched them up to offer something better. With all that said - never rule out a surprise or two. It could be that Verizon briefly offers something like its regular 'buy-one get-one free' promotion for the iPhone 14 series - which is a decent promo if you're looking for a multiple-line setup. Overall, however, it's likely that the best Verizon Black Friday deals will be on the older iPhones and Android devices. Does Verizon have Black Friday deals for existing customers Yep. Although Verizon tends to heavily advertise its promotions for new customers, it always has some sort of option for existing customers to upgrade also. If you're lucky, the trade-in rebates for an upgrade will match those that new customers are entitled to, although this isn't always the case. As a general rule of thumb, you'll be looking at around $440 to $800 as the maximum saving with an upgrade. You may also get access to buy-one-get-one free promotions, although those generally only make sense if you're looking to sign up multiple lines at once.
