The Surge 2 gets a September release date On PS4, Xbox One, and PC. News by Matt Wales Reporter Updated on 4 Jun 2019 12 comments Souls-y sci-fi sequel The Surge 2 will be heading to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on 24th September, developer Deck 13 has revealed. The Surge 2, as you might reasonably expect, aims to expand on its predecessor's solid action-RPG template, with Deck 13 calling its enhanced limb-targeting combat system "more brutal and tactical than ever". There's also promise of more weapons, abilities, implants, and drones for a broader array of combat options. Perhaps more significantly, The Surge 2 ditches the same-y office corridors of its forebear in favour of a derelict urban sprawl known as Jericho City. Deck 13 says to expect "more ambitious level design" as a result, and there's a small taste of things to come in the trailer below. Interested parties keen to get in early can pre-order The Surge 2 now from Steam and the Xbox Store. There's no live UK listing on the PlayStation Store at the time of writing. The URBN Gear Pack. Pre-orders will include the URBN Gear Pack, featuring Warren's Cutter from the original game, the full-body URBN armour set, the URBN Judgement Axe, the URBN Skimmer Drone and its Lootscan.exe Radar Module, plus a "unique online message icon". This will also be made available for purchase separately at a later date. The Surge 2 will cost around £49.99/$59.99 USD when it arrives on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on 24th September.
