Pauline joins the Mario Tennis Aces line-up tomorrow Plus, Kamek and Dry Bones are on the way. News by Matt Wales Reporter Updated on 28 Feb 2019 8 comments Nine months after its debut on Switch, Mario Tennis Aces' free post-launch support thunders on, with Pauline waiting in the wings to join as a new playable character tomorrow. And we know who's coming next now, too. Pauline, first seen in 1981's Donkey Kong and better known as Mayor of New Donk City these days, is the tenth playable character to be added to Mario Tennis Aces post-launch (and the 26th character in total), following on from Boom Boom, Koopa Troopa, Blooper, Diddy Kong, Birdo, Koopa Paratroopa, Shy Guy, Petey Piranha, and Luma. Out on the court, Pauline is considered a Speedy-type character, which, as you might imagine, means she's a nimble soul, able to move around at a fairer lick than other types. However, Speedy characters, which include Toad, Yoshi, Diddy Kong, and Koopa Trooper, usually feature reduced power or reach by way of balance. Following the pattern established by previous DLC characters, Pauline will immediately unlock for those that take part in an online tournament between March 1st and March 31st (meaning a Switch Online subscription is required). She'll be made available to everyone from April 1st. Kamek looks to be arriving in April... ...with Dry Bones following in May. Pauline was, up until very recently, the last DLC character to be confirmed for Mario Tennis Aces. However, Nintendo has now updated the game's Japanese web page, revealing that two more familiar faces are on the way. It looks like Kamek will be joining the Mario Tennis Aces line-up in April, with Dry Bones to follow in May.
