Released on July 9th alongside the 2019 Moments of Triumph, Bad Juju is a returning Exotic Pulse Rifle from the original Destiny, which was then subject to an Exotic Quest of its own. Similar to other Year 2 Exotics, Bad Juju is not time-gated, and can be acquired as soon as it's released - provided you unlock enough Tributes in the Tribute Hall that is. Thanks to Datto on YouTube for helping flesh out the above steps: Getting Destiny 2 s Bad Juju step-by-step Where to find the Bad Juju quest location and how to unlock the Tribute Hall Note: Until July 30th, it's possible to use an exploit which allows you to shortcut a lot of the grinding in this quest to get you this and the Catalyst with ease, but it only works until a certain point in the quest. Assuming you haven't started yet, you can read all the details on reddit, thanks to thebunge. Bungie will patch it out at the end of the month, showing the correct Tribute total as well as cheesed access to the catalyst and 'X Marks the Spot' emote. Bad Juju itself, meanwhile? If you unlock it this way, it's yours to keep. Getting Bad Juju is one of the more straightforward Destiny 2 Exotic quests, and can be performed solo if you prefer. First, head to Werner 99-40's barge on Nessus - the fastest travel point is from Watcher's Grave to the north - and open the chest sat beside him. As with other barge chests, you need 5,000 Glimmer to do so. You'll then receive the Invitation from the Emperor quest step, which asks you to enter the Tribute Hall and speak to the Visage of Calus. You'll find the the Tribute Hall from the Director in Nessus: Inside, investigate the statue to unlock a new vendor - Visage of Calus. Complete a Daily Bounty to then receive your first Boon of Opulence, which opens up the Tribute Hall. Destiny 2 Tribute Hall explained and how Boon of Opulence works To get Bad Juju, you need to unlock a set number of statues within the Tribute Hall. There are a variety of ways to do this. First, there's the Boon of Opulence. Each completed Daily Bounty from the Visage of Calus gives you this, and each one received increases the discount you'll receive from buying Tributes from the vendor for the Tribute Hall by 1% - up to a total of 80%. There are 30 Tributes in total to buy, and each cost planetary materials and Glimmer. This will cost a lot initially, but continue to earn discounts from Daily Bounties and it will get cheaper over time. If you are in need of these resources, then visit Spider on the Tangled Shore, who has many available to trade for other resources. There are other ways to unlock Tributes too - there is a Tribute Hall part of the Triumph page, each one worth one Tribute. They are unlocked by completing various activities with Leviathan gear equipped. Between that and some you unlock as doing the next quest step, there's a total of 50 Tribute Hall statues to unlock. To get Bad Juju, you need to unlock any 18 Tributes as part of the Golden Hero quest step. These have multiple stages, each one unlocking a War Beast that is added to the centre of the Tribute Hall. Upon the 18th statue you'll get the final War Beast, and then are able to complete the Golden Hero step. Now, visit the Visage of Calus to unlock The Other Side step, a mission the starts in the Tribute Hall itself and has you explore the Ascendant Realm. With a Power level requirement of 350, it shouldn't given you much hassle, even solo. Here's Aydarkzero with a YouTube video of the quest: With that done, investigate the case where you started the mission to receive Bad Juju. How to get Bad Juju s Catalyst in Destiny 2 and what else you can do in the Tribute Hall The Tribute Hall is still open after you pick up Bad Juju, and you'll likely have many more Tributes to unlock. To get the Bad Juju Catalyst, you must get a total of 45 Triumphs from the Tribute Hall. (Thanks to CapnHalfy on reddit for explaining.) Unfamiliar with how Bad Juju works? The special perks see kills automatically reload your weapon, give a boost to damage and increase your Super meter faster, stacking up to five times. Having the Catalyst keeps this stack going longer. Finally - it's worth noting the various Tributes you unlock in the Tribute Hall allow you to spawn different enemy types, acting as a shooting range to test weapons and abilities out on. Have fun!
