News by Vikki Blake Contributor Updated on 8 Sep 2019 4 comments If you've been struggling with the audio issues plaguing the Nintendo Switch port of Deadly Premonition Origins, I have good news: a patch is apparently on its way. We all know that part of Deadly Premonition's charm is its wonkiness, but the issues currently affecting the game - ranging from missing sound effects and dialogue to frame rate drops - have made the Switch port even wonkier than some were expecting. However, creator Hidetaka "Swery" Suehiro - seemingly besieged by Twitter DMs wanting to discuss the issues - has confirmed publisher Toybox will shortly release a patch. Sorry for bad porting of Deadly Premonition Origins TOYBOX (Publisher) told me that they will announce about Patch ASAP.Please wait for that.#deadlypremonition#DeadlyPremonitionorigins pic.twitter.com/CxYZVE5EK2- Hidetaka SWERY SueHERO (@Swery65) September 5, 2019 To see this content please enable targeting cookies. "Toybox (Publisher) told me that they will announce about Patch ASAP. Please wait for that. "Please NEVER send DM to me about BUG/Issues report to me," Swery later added. "I am not user support. So, you guys should ask your question to publisher." Don't forget, sequel Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise is also heading for Switch next year. Unfolding in Boston, the game follows the adventures of FBI agent Aaliyah Davis as she investigates an old serial killer case and inadvertently "opens a door into the unknown". It will also juggle another story, this one unfolding 14 years earlier in New Orleans where FBI agent Francis York Morgan - the first game's unforgettable protagonist - attempts to solve a case of his own.
