Guide by Sayem Ahmed Contributor Updated on 11 Sep 2019 The Monster Hunter World Boaboa quests are an optional late game questline that is necessary to complete all of the Lynian Researcher's Surveyors Set research requests. The Boaboa are similar to the Gajalaka and Grimalkyne quests that you have faced previously in Monster Hunter: World. Like the Gajalaka and Grimalkynes, the Boaboa can also assist you out in the field once you have befriended them. They will also give you the Tailraider Signal upon completion of this questline, which can come in useful in a pinch! Then, you will have to start Iceborne and reach the new Hoarfrost Reach area proper by beating Beotodus. Once you have access to Seliana, chat to the Lynian Researcher near the Council Room to get started. How to complete Cultural Exchange Hoarfrost Reach The Lynian Researcher will give you a bounty named Cultural Exchange: Hoarfrost Reach. Here, you'll need to head out on an expedition to Hoarfrost Reach and hunt a monster in front of the Boaboa. We recommend that you track down a regular old Beotodus or Banbaro, as the hunts are not too difficult, and easy to complete if you've just started Iceborne. As you hunt the monster, you'll notice the Boaboa start to gather, and after the hunt instruct you to head back to the southernmost camp in Area 1. Head over and they will invite you to their lair. Doing this will complete Cultural Exchange: Hoarfrost Reach. How to complete Cultural Exchange Hoarfrost Reach II With that out of the way, you will then automatically activate the next bounty, Cultural Exchange: Hoarfrost Reach II. Head to the Southern Camp in area 1 and towards the hot springs in area 2, following the Boaboa along the way. Next, they will ask you to hook onto a wingdrake. The wingrake will soon drop you off at area 17, the lair of the Boaboa. Head through the cave past the hot spring, and the Boaboa leader will give you an optional quest to hunt a Tempered Beotodus, named By Our Powers Combined. This will conclude Cultural Exchange: Hoarfrost Reach II. Iceborne has arrived! Here's how to start Monster Hunter World Iceborne and beat the first monster, Beotodus. Once you get settled into the world, learn about Layered Armour in Monster Hunter World and the various side-quests available - including Surveyor Set missions, Boaboa quests and finding Pearlspring Macaque locations. How to complete the final Boaboa quest By Our Powers Combined First of all, we recommend kitting yourself out with the best fire element weapon you have, in addition to packing some good Ice Resistance gear. Make sure you bring Nulberries with you for Iceblight, or bring along your Iceproof Mantle and eat for Elemental Resistance (L), if you can. Once you're in the quest, the Boaboa will explain what you need to do for the first phase. You need to lure a Popo into an area to lure the tempered Beotodus. So, head forward and into area 4 and go towards the Popo surrounded by the Boaboa. Pick up a stone along the way and fire it at the Popo, and it'll move north to Area 6. There, when it's in position you just need to wait for the Beotodus to pop up and appear. As the hunt goes on, the Boaboa will shout instructions out to you, wherein they will give you a helping hand, for us this popped in Area 2. The Boaboa will do extra damage and setting traps for the monster, so keep an eye out. As a reward for completing this, the Boaboa will give you the Tailraider Signal, which will be able to call the Tailraiders mid-hunt and come to wherever you are. Additionally, you will now be able to use raider rides on Wulg in the Hoarfrost Reach. You will also earn a Bronze Hunter's Pendant you can equip onto your weapon.
