While Capcom seems unlikely to return to the wonderful world of Asura's Wrath any time soon, it lives on in the form of Street Fighter 5 costume DLC. This week the company announced an upcoming Asura's costume for Kage (the evil Ryu-esque character), due out via Extra Battle 27th September. Fighting a 12,000-year-old demigod can be a huge time commitment. Just ask Akuma. Manage cookie settings Kage really does look the part as Asura, but the costume is of course no substitute for a brand new Asura's Wrath game (Asura's Wrath was one of Eurogamer's games of 2012), or even a guest appearance by the character in another Capcom game. If Capcom returns to the Marvel vs. Capcom series after the disastrous Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, perhaps it'll consider Asura as one of the characters. Or maybe we'll see him turn up in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I mean, when a Fatal Fury character can make it into Smash, anything's possible.
