Animal Crossing's answer to Amazon sells everything from fossils to villagers Earth eggs are dirt cheap. News by Emma Kent Contributor Updated on 16 Apr 2020 10 comments Still searching for an Ironwood Dresser to finally make that elusive Ironwood Kitchenette? You could patiently wait for the item to crop up in Nook's Cranny, or simply skip the whole process by buying it on Animal Crossing's answer to Amazon. Nookazon, as it's called, is a fan-made site for New Horizons that lets players organise in-game meet-ups to trade items. Players can list sell items for bells or a direct trade, then arrange meet-ups through direct messages on Discord. You can also list items you're searching for, and what you'd be willing to give in return. There's even a rating system to reward reliable sellers with a five-star rating, like a true millennial startup. So, what can you get on Nookazon? Pretty much everything, as it turns out. There's the obvious - such as clothing, furniture and DIY recipes, but there's also fossils to help fill out your museum collection. If you missed out on seasonal events such as the cherry blossom festival, it's a pretty good way to stock up on petals and missed recipes. Some people have definitely been doing some cheeky time-travelling, as several seasonal items are available a little early. You should probably avoid browsing the site if you care about furniture-related spoilers. Something a little more unusual (and somewhat sinister) is the villager-trading section of Nookazon, which allows players to swap animals between islands. Players can list villagers when the critters start boxing up their houses, as visiting players can then convince departing villagers to join their own island. In theory it's a solid way to swap villagers you may not like, but it also feels a little weird to "sell" them for bells. Possibly the most devastating post I've seen is someone offering Alli for a single bell. If you're worried about the risks of trading with random strangers on the internet, Nookazon's FAQs have some solid advice on how to conduct safe trading, such as placing a table at the entrance to block off your island, and behavioural red flags to watch out for. Personally I've found putting my Switch on sleep mode is a pretty effective way to boot players off your island and get your items back - as I discovered when someone tried to rob me.
