One Piece Film Red Release Date

The One Piece Film Red release date is et on August 6th this year. It will be coming to the theatres in August and will be released in Japan. The movie is being directed by Goro Tanjiguchi who is famous for his work in Code Geass. The movie is being produced by Toei Animation who are in command of the anime series as well. Its screenplay is written by Tsutomu Kuroiwa and it is being produced by Eiichiro Oda. According to Shinji Shimizu, One Piece Red is the only movie in which Oda himself has actively participated the most. It seems like the movie is going to contain some canon stuff, hence Oda’s involvement. Oda is not only the executive producer but also the character designer for the movie. The movie will contain a combination of both 3d and 2d graphics with some use of CGI as well. It will hit the theatres on August 22 and is expected to surpass its predecessors. One Piece Film Red Spoilers

As of yet, no information related to One Piece Film Red is out yet but we expect it to be based on Shanks. The teaser which was revealed during the screening of the 1000th episode showed that Shanks will be the centerpiece of the movie. However, because these movies are non-canonical, it is difficult to predict if there will be anything worthwhile in the movie even if it’s related to Shanks. But since Oda has made active participation during the production, we might have some surprises stored for us.

One Piece Film Red Plot

One Piece Film Red’s plot will revolve around Strawhat Pirates, the group of pirates with their captain Monkey D. Luffy who is also the protagonist of the series. We will have another adventure with the crew as they wander on another island. The involvement of Shanks will be interesting to see as he hasn’t interacted with Luffy after departing with him when he was little.
