Guide by Lottie Lynn Guides Editor Published on 6 Mar 2020 In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX, rather than training Pokémon, you become one. The Pokémon you inhabit is selected out of a choice of 16 playable Pokémon after you complete a Pokémon personality quiz. In this guide you'll find every question in this personality quiz, alongside the answers you need to give, so that you can become your chosen Pokémon. On this page: What Poké mon can you be in Poké mon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX Personality quiz answers in Poké mon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX explained How to pick your own Poké mon in Poké mon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX explained What Poké mon can you be in Poké mon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX, there are 16 possible Pokémon you can play as. Since the original games, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, were released during the Gen 3 era (2002 to 2006), the choice of playable Pokémon is limited to the first three generations. The Pokémon you play as is determined by the results of the personality quiz you take at the start of the game. Each question you answer helps assign you a Pokémon nature, such as Brave or Impish, expect for the final question, which asks whether you want to play as a boy or a girl. Both the Pokémon nature you're assigned and your chosen gender determine which Pokémon you'll play as. Due to the fact that there are 13 Pokémon natures but 16 playable Pokémon, three Pokémon will be removed from the option pool depending on which gender you pick. If you pick 'Boy,' you won't be able to access Chikorota, Torchic or Skitty from the quiz. If you pick 'Girl', you'll be unable to get Psyduck, Machop or Cyndaquil from the quiz. Below is every playable Pokémon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX, including both the personality result and gender you need to have to play as them: Pokémon TypeBoy - Personality RequiredGirl - Personality Required Bulbasaur GrassHardyBrave Charmander FireDocileCalm Squirtle WaterJollyRelaxed Pikachu ElectricImpishHardy Meowth Normal QuirkyLonely Psyduck WaterRelaxedN/A Machop FightingBraveN/A Cubone GroundLonelyImpish Eevee NormalHastyNaive Chikorita GrassN/ADocile Cyndaquil FireTimidN/A Totodile WaterNaiveJolly Treecko GrassSassyQuirky Torchic FireN/ASassy Mudkip WaterCalmTimid Skitty NormalN/AHasty Once you've been assigned your Pokémon, you can pick a Partner Pokémon. This Pokémon will stay with you for the entirety of the game and help you survive in the Pokémon world! You can't, however, pick a partner that is the same type as you. If you're playing as Cyndaquil you can't have either Torchic or Charmander as your partner for example, so your choice will be slightly restricted. Personality quiz answers in Poké mon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX explained The personality quiz you take at the beginning of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX consists of eight random questions taken from a selection of 57 questions, which are divided into 14 different categories. This includes one category for each Pokémon nature, such as Lonely or Quirky, and one miscellaneous category. Since there are 14 categories, but only eight questions, an answer can relate to two different categories. This means that if you're aiming to play as a specific Pokémon, then you need to pay close attention to which answers you pick. Below you'll find all 14 question categories, the questions you might be asked from each category and which Pokémon nature is assigned to each answer: Brave questions: A delinquent is hassling someone on a busy city street!
