One Piece Chapter 1040 Leaks – The Cover Story

Fortunately, this time around, we have a continuation of the cover story of Germa 66 members’ escape from the WholeCake Island. In the last chapter, there was a cover spread instead of the story hence there was an assumption that it is already over. However, with the latest information we have, it seems like Oda is going to continue on covering what happened to Germa’s siblings and their father after they escaped from the clutches of Big Mom. In the cover story itself, we continue with where we left off. Niji and Yonji are still intact to the book with no means to escape. This time around, they have a flashback to what happened and how Big Mom captured both brothers. Apparently, they were badly beaten by Big Mom and got left out on the island. Again we are not sure about whether they got rescued or not. It’s possible that they might’ve remained captured there for a while. Kid vs Big Mom

The Kid vs Big Mom showdown continues for a long as the emperor survived the massive attack by Kid. To recover her state, Big Mom tries to take the souls of people around her, however, Law intervenes and stops her from extracting the souls. The kid on the other hand keeps on shooting using his railgun and continuously spams it. He destroys the floor to the point that it collapses and Big Mom falls along with it. JoyBoy s Nakama

Before falling, Big Mom tells Law and Kid not to consider themselves as a winner since she won’t die. However, the narrator goes on to declare Law and Kid as winners anyway. While falling, Big Mom has a thought where she says why didn’t Roger just tell the world about One Piece and its location. We move to Momonosuke as he tells Yamato something important. He tells her that Zunesha has arrived and she replies back by asking if it’s the elephant from Oden’s general.
