News by Matt Wales Reporter Updated on 11 Jun 2020 1 comment Evil Within developer Tango Gameworks' paranormal action game Ghostwire: Tokyo, which enjoyed an enigmatic unveiling at least year's E3, has finally resurfaced with first gameplay. Not that things are all that much clearer after this latest showing; we now know it's a action-focussed first-person experience through the rain-slicked streets of Tokyo, where players must energetically thrust their supernatural abilities in the general direction of some strikingly designed spirits known as The Visitors - including grabby-haired ladies (Kuchisake) and malevolent children in raincoats referred to as Amewarashi. Watch on YouTube Introducing Ghostwire: Tokyo last year, publisher Bethesda offered this brief story tease, which now makes a little more sense in light of the above footage: "After strange disappearances hit Tokyo's population, it's up to you to uncover the source and purge the city of a strange, new evil. Armed with your own mysterious spectral abilities, you will face down the occult, unravel conspiracy theories and experience urban legends like never before." Ghostwire: Tokyo is confirmed to be heading to PC and "coming to consoles exclusively for PlayStation 5" when it releases some time next year.
