This weekend's Pokémon Go Fest will unlock three weeks of bonuses for everyone More Gen 5 creatures, new regional, and the return of Rayquaza. News by Tom Phillips Deputy Editor Updated on 24 Jul 2020 1 comment Pokémon Go Fest, the game's big annual ticketed event, takes place this weekend - but developer Niantic is already looking to the future and what will come next. Go Fest ticket holders will unlock three big event weeks to follow during the rest of the summer for everyone to subsequently take part in. First up is Dragon Week, which lasts seven days from next Friday, 31st July at 9pm UK time. This will see Dragon-type Pokémon featured in the wild and in 7km eggs, free timed research for several sought-after Deino (now available Shiny), and the long-awaited return of fan-favourite Rayquaza within raids. Second will be Enigma Week, which lasts seven days from Friday 7th August at 9pm UK time. Gen 5 Pokémon Elgyem will be released for the first time, while Normal Forme Deoxys will return to raids and be Shiny for the first time. Staryu will also be released as a Shiny. Lastly, Unova Week, which lasts seven days from Friday 14th August at 9pm UK time. This will see the launch of various remaining Gen 5 creatures such as Sewaddle, Cottonee, Emolga, and Bouffalant - the latter of which will be a New York area regional exclusive. Genesect will be in raids, now Shiny-possible, while the Shiny version of Roggenrola is released too. Confirmation of these three weeks depends on Go Fest ticket holders achieving a certain number of challenges within the event, but it's difficult to see how these various thresholds will be missed. Watch on YouTube Tomorrow's Go Fest day will feature new Mythical Pokémon research and a rotating schedule of hourly "habitats" featuring different Pokémon types. Sunday will offer a different storyline, as Team Rocket set their eyes on your new Mythical Pokémon prize. Finally, last night brought the welcome news that Pokémon Go's in-game storage had finally been increased up to 3500 creatures - just in time to fit in all your Go Fest catches. Go Fest tickets cost £15, with all of Niantic's proceeds going to several Black Lives Matter charities>, for a minimum donation of $5m.
