Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gets next-gen performance update With framerate and resolution improvements. News by Emma Kent Contributor Updated on 12 Jan 2021 64 comments If you felt a great disturbance in the force, you might be onto something, as an update for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has started rolling out - and it's all about optimising the game for next-gen consoles. As explained in EA's blog post, the update promises improved framerates on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, with framerates now targeting 60FPS on all next-gen consoles (up from 45 FPS on Series S and PlayStation 5 prior to the update). Xbox Series X now features a performance mode with 60FPS and dynamic resolution in the range of 1080p to 1440p, while its normal "non-performance" mode should achieve a post-processing resolution of 4K and a dynamic resolution between 1512p to 2160p. PlayStation 5's post-processing has now been increased to 1440p, but "dynamic resolution has been disabled and the game is rendering at 1200p (up from 810-1080p)".
