Gothita 100% perfect IV stats, shiny Gothita in Pokémon Go explained Even without a shiny, there are plenty of reasons to catch as many of them as possible. Guide by Matthew Reynolds Managing Editor Published on 19 Oct 2021 There is no Shiny Gothia in Pokémon Go - but that's not to say you shouldn't check out the latest Spotlight Hour. This page explains why you should be catching as many Gothita as possible during the hour-long window - including the chance to get a 100% perfect IV Gothita - as well as a preview of Shiny Gothita for when they finally arrive in the game. If you are interested in other events going on right now in Pokémon Go, there is the Halloween event research, the Halloween Cup, the new What Lies Behind the Mask quest and the arrival of Galarian Slowking. On this page: Gothita s 100% perfect IV in Poké mon Go explained Is there a shiny Gothita in Poké mon Go What does shiny Gothita look like Other reasons to catch as many Gothita as possible Watch on YouTube Battling and evolving the latest Mega Evolution, Mega Aggron, in Pokémon Go. Gothita s 100% perfect IV in Poké mon Go explained One of the reasons you might want to join Spotlight Hour is the chance to catch a perfect Gothita - meaning it has the highest possible IV stats, making it as powerful as possible for raids and the Master League. The CP values - which correspond to perfect 15/15/15 stats - are as follows: Level 30 (wild CP maximum): 815 Level 35 (weather boosted CP maximum): 883 Note: Since the wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until 30, if you are below 30, then the maximum will be different. Since most players will be past 30, we've kept it to the above values to keep things simple. The CP value seen here will tell you the possible IVs when caught - if it's one of the above, then it should be perfect. Is there a shiny Gothita in Poké mon Go There is no shiny Gothita in Pokémon Go. Though Gothita is not shiny in Pokémon Go right now, if we were to hazard a guess, we would say it's a firm Community Day candidate for sometime in the future, where it could make its shiny debut. (This is when you weight up its fan-favourite status, multiple evolutions, and final evolution Gothietelle being - by all accounts - a strong Psychic type.) That's not to say we can't see a preview of a shiny Gothita would look like thanks to the mainline games, which unlike Pokémon Go, have shiny versions available from the get go... What does shiny Gothita look like Going by the mainline games, you can see how a shiny Gothita looks in Sword and Shield from the 3:05 mark in the following video by buttercupxo on YouTube: And if you want to go back further to Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, here's how Gothita appears via KangasKid18 on YouTube: As you can tell, the main difference is in the eyes - changing from blue to red. Currently live is the Evolving Stars event, which includes the release of quest steps 5 to 8 of A Cosmic Companion - the Season of Light special research quest. Elsewhere, be sure to use Daily Adventure Incense for the chance of encountering Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos and Galarian Moltres. There's also a new special research quest - A Mysterious Incense. Finally - don't forget about the new Prime Gaming rewards every fortnight. Other reasons to catch as many Gothita as possible Shiny or no shiny, there are plenty of reasons to catch as many Pokémon as possible during Spotlight Hour. This includes: The Gothita Spotlight Hour overlaps with the Halloween event, which currently has a double Candy bonus active. This means with a Pinap Berry, you'll earn 12 Gothita per catch. Even without the Halloween bonus, since final evolution Gothietelle being a decent Psychic type, and Gothita being a possible Community Day candidate, stocking up on Candy is recommended. And if you don't want Gothita candy, with the XL Candy bonus for Buddies currently active during Halloween, Spotlight Hour is a nice excuse to get some miles in for that alone. The Spotlight Hour bonus is also an important consideration. In the case of Gothita, this is double catch XP - and serves as one of the fastest ways to get XP in Pokémon Go if you manage to catch using an Excellent throw - taking you from 1,000 XP to a doubled 2,000 XP. Put on a Lucky Egg? That's 4,000 XP per catch. To put it into context, three Excellent catches during Spotlight Hour with a Lucky Egg gives you 2,000 more XP than a Legendary Raid (10,000 XP) with far less time and effort involved. Don't forget you have just a single hour - between 6pm and 7pm local time - to catch as many Spotlight Hour Pokémon as possible. If you miss out, then don't sweat it - all four Spotlight Hour bonuses rotate around each month, and the highlighted creature will usually appear in great numbers again as part of a future event.
