The next-gen update for Spiders Studio's fantasy RPG provides enhanced visuals and up to UHD native 4K, fast loading and 60fps in performance mode on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. Here's the official blurb on the expansion: "The De Vespe Conspiracy expands on GreedFall's cherished world and story, inviting you to set foot on a previously undiscovered region of Teer Fradee and tackle a brand new intrigue. Navigate a web of lies, manipulation and secrets, as you unravel a nefarious conspiracy that threatens the balance of power. Explore an uncharted region of the island, battle strange new beasts, upgrade your equipment with new gear and face off against a villainous new enemy faction in your hunt to uncover the truth." The next-gen update is a free upgrade for existing owners of GreedFall, and save files transfer across for owners of the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. GreedFall came out in September 2019 and enjoyed a positive reception despite some technical issues. "Taking notes from roleplaying greats, GreedFall makes up for its faults with a lot of spirit," Malindy Hetfeld wrote in Eurogamer's GreedFall review.
