Save 10% on the LG CX OLED and more of the best 4K gaming TVs Digital Foundry's top pick, the LG CX, is £989 from AO. Deals by Mat Ombler Contributor Updated on 22 Jul 2021 9 comments On the lookout for a new TV? You can grab 10% off LG OLEDs from AO using the code LGOLED10 at checkout. This includes the LG CX OLED, highly recommended by Digital Foundry as the best 4K TV for HDR gaming. Perfect for your PS5 or Xbox Series X, then. You can use the code to get the 55" LG CXLB OLED for £989 or the 48" LC with next day delivery, which is the cheapest we've seen them. The CX has everything you'd expect from a top-quality OLED gaming TV, with low input lag, bold colours with excellent brightness settings and superb motion clarity. 55" LG CX OLED for £989 48" LG CX OLED for £989 Any low-resolution sources are automatically upscaled, too, thanks to the CX's Automatic Low Latency mode and Framemeister compatibility. That means you won't have to whip out an older TV set the next time you fancy clearing the dust off your Nintendo 64. The CX uses an a9 Gen 3 processor for the clearest images and sound, and Dolby Vision IQ works to deliver amazing colour reproduction. There are four HDMI 2.1 ports providing four separate inputs for 4K 120fps gaming on your PS5 or Xbox Series X so you don't have to worry about sharing one input for multiple consoles. Watch on YouTube You'll notice the Digital Foundry piece mentions the LG C1 OLED, a slightly newer version of the CX. There are no major differences between the two other than the price and the C1's slightly superior motion handling and input lag. Given the price difference between the two, we'd recommend the CX, but the 48" and 55" C1 TVs are also in the sale. 55" LG C1 OLED for £1529 48" LG C1 OLED for £1169 There are plenty of other TVs included in the sale too, like the new LG A1, an entry-level OLED TV. The picture quality is near-identical to the C1 and CX but is limited to a 60Hz refresh rate (rather than the C1/CX's 120Hz Black Frame Insertion) and doesn't have HDMI 2.1 ports, nor does it support variable refresh rate technology. Not the best choice for 120Hz gaming on PS5 or Xbox Series X, then. However, if you're not put off by any of those missing features, the A1 is still a decent TV and you can grab a 65" set for just £100 more than the C1. 65" LG A1 OLED for £1619 As for audio quality, the speakers in all of these LG OLED TVs are amazing, but you can check out some of the best wireless gaming headsets here.
