You can also use them to gather resources, like wood, to help build structures on the Fortnite map. In Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, you'll need to use a melee weapon to complete one of the weekly challenges. Below you'll discover what a melee weapon is in Fortnite, along with where to find them. Watch on YouTube Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Cinematic Trailer What is a melee weapon in Fortnite There are currently two melee weapons in Fortnite - your harvesting tool, also known as the pickaxe, and Darth Vader's Lightsaber. The easiest melee weapon to use is, of course, your harvesting tool, because you automatically start every match with this weapon. Simply select your favourite from your Locker and away you go! If you wish to wield the power of a Sith Lord, you'll need to defeat Darth Vader in combat. First, however, you need to know Darth Vader's location. Once you've found him, be prepared for a fight as he's not giving up that lightsaber easily. Thankfully, other players can battle him alongside you - though you may have to kill them afterwards to get Darth Vader's Lightsaber. Defeating Darth Vader is also one of the Vibin' quests - the storyline challenges for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3. Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is here and with it comes a new Battle Pass! This season has introduced EvoChrome weapons, Chrome Splash locations and the ability to phase through walls. There are also new vault locations and map changes. The Paradise quests are this season's storyline challenges, including destorying Chrome objects to collect Chrome anomalies. Make sure to check out the upcoming The Herald skin too!
