News by Ed Nightingale News reporter Published on 4 Aug 2022 6 comments German musician Remute is known for releasing albums on retro hardware - and now his latest is available on a Game Boy Advance cartridge. The album, titled Unity, features 15 songs about "unification, division, and trust". The cartridge is compatible with all GBA, SP, Nintendo DS Lite, or Analogue Pocket consoles, without the need for a region lock. The music of Unity is generated in real time without compressed files, with an audio engine achieved through the demo scene and GBA coder HorstBaerbel. It also includes a 3D video created by Remute and developer Blue G, and two QR-code bonus tracks. Unity is available now on Remute's Bandcamp page. You can check out a video of the album below.
