Ever since the hip-hop music trio stepped onto the scene in 2008, fans have been in awe with their artistry. The group is known for creating trap music with a dose of mumble rap that has shifted the genre and influenced their ever-growing fanbase. Thanks to the Migos' hit songs that include “Versace,” “Bad and Boujee,” “Stir Fry,” and more, the group has been a mainstay in hip-hop for more than a decade. While the Migos have all released solo projects, the group has always come together to make music. However, social media has been buzzing since May 2022 about the group possibly going their separate ways for good. The group then caused a stir by canceling their 2022 Governors Ball performance in June. And now, the crew is in the headlines yet again after an album announcement and a solo TV performance. Breakup rumors in regards to the Migos have continued to bubble over the surface. According to TMZ, the rumors took another turn due to Offset's performance on The Tonight Show on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022. The MC performed two songs, "Code" and "54321," which are his new solo records. Interestingly, Offset's performance was followed by Quavo and Takeoff's announcement of their solo album "Only Built 4 Infinity Links." It also follows their single "Big Stunna" which was released on the same day as Offset's "Code" on Aug. 26, 2022. TMZ reported in August 2022 that Offset filed a lawsuit against the label and claims that "he negotiated his solo deal and paid handsomely" for the rights to music. Now that he has officially released the project, Offset says that Quality Control has reneged on the deal, per documents obtained by the outlet. Not to mention, this all follows the major letdown the Migos gave fans with canceling their June 2022 Governor's Ball performance.
