Red Dead Online Players Are Not Happy With The Latest Update 7 January 2022 by Richard Breslin Red Dead Online players are not happy with the latest update for the Rockstar Games title. Fans have voiced their concerns on Twitter. Earlier this week, Rockstar Games announced the latest update for Red Dead Online with “A Land of Opportunities,” however, ironically, it’s new opportunities that players are desperate for. Start off the new year with bonuses on A Land of Opportunities, Call to Arms, Gang Hideouts and more, all month long in Red Dead Online: https://t.co/abyoHam2vX pic.twitter.com/OfuzH9igx3- Rockstar Games (@RockstarGames) January 6, 2022 A Land of Opportunities brings additional missions, weapons, gang hideouts and more to RDO. Unfortunately, where the problem appears to lie, is that some of these missions are recycled. I suppose that’s fine for new players, but not so much for those that have been playing Red Dead Online since the beginning.ADVERT ADVERT The difference in content support between GTA Online and Red Dead Online is incredibly vast and I can see why so many fans are disgruntled. GTA Online is supported by a wealth of meaty content updates, many of which can be considered to be expansions. Credit: Rockstar Games Franklin is back with Dr Dre The most recent major update for GTA Online is “The Contract” which not only sees returning fan favourite Franklin but also features hip hop legend, Dr Dre. There have been no such updates anywhere near this level for Red Dead Online. Sure, it can be argued that Rockstar focuses on GTA Online because it’s a major moneymaker. However, perhaps if they put a similar effort into RDO, its player base would have meaningful new content to enjoy which would likely result in a greater investment for Rockstar Games.ADVERT ADVERT As a result of the Red Dead Online neglect, fans have taken to Twitter to voice their concerns with the hashtag #SaveRedDeadOnline. Two years of this nonsense from Rockstar now. They simply don’t care anymore, the care and love for Red Dead 2 is long gone. It’s all down to GTAV now, what a disappointing turnout. #SaveRedDeadOnline- Ben T. After seeing how Rockstar Games has supported GTA Online, I hoped for something similar for Red Dead Online. Sadly, that has not been the case. Will Rockstar Games finally listen to the pleas of RDO fans and give us the same kind of support as GTA Online? Only time will tell, but I wouldn’t hold your breath.ADVERT ADVERT Are you one of the many disgruntled RDO players? If so, we’d love to hear your thoughts across our social media channels.
