Halo Infinite Armour Guide How To Customise Your Armour 18 November 2021 by Dave McAdam Designing your own Spartan has been a feature of Halo since back in 2007 with Halo 3. It’s a match made in heaven, there are almost limitless options with what you can do with a set of Mjolnir armour. Halo Infinite brings more character customisation than ever before. If you are trying to make sense of the long list of options, check out this Halo Infinite armour customisation guide. Armour Cores Credit: Xbox Armour cores are a new feature in Halo Infinite, and can be a bit confusing at first. The gist of it is this; armour cores are the suit of armour itself. When you enter the Armour Hall you’ll notice that you can choose between several armour suits. Currently, you’ll see the base Mark VII armour, the Mark V (B) based on Halo Reach, and the Yoroi armour (learn more about that here!). Think of these as the basis of your armour. Each core has its own style, but each can be customised with the options below. Armour Kits Credit: Xbox Armour kits are the first option you’ll see under each armour core, and this is where we need to draw a distinction. Cores and kits are easily mixed up; as we said the core is the base armour. Armour kits are total customisation options for your armour cores. Rather than applying individual pieces, armour kits are full, predetermined looks. The best way to explain this is with an example. Under the Halo Reach inspired Mark V(B) armour core you have armour kits that make you look like each member of Noble team. These are really cool, often unique customisation options, so be on the lookout for them.ADVERT ADVERT Armour Coatings Credit: Xbox Maybe the most impactful decision you can make in customising your armour is choosing your colour. Halo Infinite has a wealth of colour options, you start with a decent variety of shades but there are plenty more to unlock. Many of these aren’t just different colours, but different patterns. Some armour coatings will turn your armour into a kaleidoscope of different hues. Helmets Chestpieces Shoulders and Kneepads Credit: Xbox This is the main body of options you have for your armour. Each individual part of your set can be customised to your liking. Along with choosing your helmet you can also select the colour of its visor. Your shoulder pads can be selected individually if you like a bit of asymmetry, and you have options for your chest, hand, and knee armour. There are attachments for your forearm and thigh, and you can display your emblem on your chest. Armour Effects Credit: Xbox Armour effects return in Halo Infinite, giving you some really out-there looks. Currently, you can unlock the Judgement set of effects, which more or less set you on fire. There are helmet and body effects, as well as mythic effect sets. The Judgement helmet and body effects apply a flaming effect your those parts of your armour. The mythic effect set adds fiery flourishes to everything you do; sprinting, sliding and using equipment.ADVERT ADVERT That is everything you need to know about armour customisation in Halo Infinite multiplayer.
