YouTuber Discovers Interesting Details About Sexual Orientation In The Sims 4 16 May 2022 by Oisin Kuhnke A YouTuber has revealed some interesting details on how sexual orientation works in The Sims 4. Over the years, The Sims 4 has done more and more to improve LGBTQIA+ representation in the game. One upcoming feature is customisable pronouns, something that a lot of fans will appreciate. But now a YouTuber has put out a video which dives into if Sims have pre-defined sexual orientations or not. The YouTuber in question, Petey Plays It, put out the video to see if it’s possible to choose Sims sexual orientations without mods. In the video, Petey opts for two vampire sims, a male and a female respectively. There’s an ability that vampires can have which lets them emit an aura that attracts Sims to them, which they both have.ADVERT ADVERT Once this was in place, Petey made another female Sim (called Henrietta), who had never interacted with another Sim. And in turn, the vampires were unleashed on her, but she was only attracted to the male vampire. What this suggests is that when a Sim is freshly created, they are straight. what happened next After this, Petey decided to test out Henrietta going and flirting with a number of Sims, all of which were women. Petey then tested Henrietta out with the vampires again, this time finding the the male vampire’s allure doesn’t work, but the female vampire’s does. But more testing was still needed. So Petey believes that The Sims 4 has something in place that looks at a Sims romantic relationships and interactions to determine their sexual orientation.ADVERT ADVERT The whole video is worth a watch to see it in action. Though of course, without any confirmation from the devs, it’s all just speculation. The fighting in Ukraine is causing families to flee their homes.
